Justin Bieber, 17, was tackled by an undercover cop outside Macy's in New York City Thursday, TMZ reports. The officer reportedly decided to jump over the barricade when the singer's fans became too rowdy.
The "Baby" singer was in town to launch his new cologne, Someday, in the chain's Herald Square location. The incident occurred when Bieber temporarily left the store to greet fans who were not invited inside.
The Canadian superstar was not seriously injured, though he appeared to be very "shaken up" by the incident, according to one eyewitness.
When the undercover cop finally identified himself, he cited one of Bieber's security team members for disorderly conduct.
Sources tell TMZ that both sides have since resolved the issue and dropped the charges against the singer's security team. In the meantime, Bieber continues to sign autographs inside the department store
